Curiosity and Classroom Outcomes: A Five-Year Longitudinal Study

Abstract

What this study did

We tracked 1,240 students across nine schools to measure the relationship between self-reported curiosity and later academic and creative outcomes. Curiosity, measured yearly through structured interviews and classroom observation, proved a stronger predictor of long-term engagement than baseline test scores.
